I’ve been using this app for many years. In a sea of AI generated resume building apps, Resume Star keeps true to its roots while laying the steps out in front of you in a very simple & easy way to follow. I do wish you were able to upload and edit previous versions of resumes so you don’t have to restart or copy and paste everything, but everything else about this app is perfect!

Update- okay -I built my resume last nite with this. Fabulously easy to use, the resume looks fantastic and it has just the right amount of "elements", according to recommendations for best practice. I have never had an easier time formatting a resume, and one that isn't full of "bloat" either. The developers most certainly deserve the update purchase- which is on an honor system- for that alone. Unfortunately, I don't have a job yet- as soon as I do, however, you can bet I will be playing fair by the honor system- they deserve their due. This app is the best yet.This is my "initial" review because I am just about to begin using the app. I HAVE to give it 5 stars for the present, simply for the marketing technique and philosophy outlined re this app. Brilliant! I am definitely going to put it through the paces and see what results I get. And if they are positive? You better believe I'll make that in-app purchase and report on the success (prayerfully!) or failure. Desperately trying to find work....and if this app helps the process, I won't hesitate to "reward" the developers with praise and with purchase! I admire the whole concept of "paying upon delivery of results", however. Genius!

I loved this app. It was so easy to use, very user friendly and efficient. I was able to make a great resume in probably a quarter of the time that It normally would take. You have freedom to add and delete categories and sections as you see fit, and it also has options for distributing your resume. There are options for turning your cover letter on and off, using bullet points, etc. If you choose to email the resume, the email that is brought up even has a preloaded message for the hiring manager, if you choose to leave it. This app has tons of options to customize your resume, but they still made it very simple and quick to do, which is amazing. It's not over crowded with options that end up taking longer than just typing an actual resume. This app is thoughtful and well made, I will definitely be using it again. I also love the "honor system" method of payment. They took a risk but I have no doubt that it's paid off. This alone makes me want to give them my money, on top of how well the app performed.

I can't say that "The resume got me the job", but I CAN say that this program really takes the mental strain off of making and editing a resume. I can adjust it every time I have a new job, and because I'm self-employed and a contractor, I have to do a LOT of job searching and a lot of updating.That said, I've been using this program for a while now, while using it, I got a QA contract job in a games company that made me feel appreciated, I've learned I have a special talent for QA that a lot of people don't have. It wasn't a long contract, but it gave me a lot of hope for my career.It's honor-ware, you pay for it when you get the job, and you know what, I got the job. The devs deserve pay for that. Thank you for making this so much easier for me to manage with my ADHD, and available for those of us who don't have a job yet and don't feel comfortable spending money on apps until they have one. Highly recommend.

My computer is in storage and this app helped me in a pinch. I was called in for an interview and explained I didn't have access to my resume. My first interview was scheduled for the next morning and I didn't want to walk in without a resume. I have no computer or internet and live miles from civilization. I was skeptical when I found this app. After reading the reviews I downloaded Resume Star and started. It took me about 20 minutes to make a legitimate resume. I was able to email my new resume to my prospective employer that night! The following morning the first thing the interviewer said to me was, "so I understand you DON'T have a resume?" It felt great to tell the interviewer "sir, you have my resume waiting for review in your email." He was pleasantly surprised. Two more interviews later I landed a great sales job in an industry I love. Thanks resume star! This app is worth it and I will use it again! (if necessary😃)

I'm printing mine right now. It was easy to use and sections were completely what was needed to show all areas of expertise. You can add sections or change them, make text larger and adjust margins. It also uses the honor system with payment and when I get the job I'll be sure to pay. Best part you pay what you feel they deserve so pay what you truly think they deserve. For me I'll be paying a decent amount that's for sure. Only thing is kind to see tho, is a function to have style templates. I've used another app in the last that allowed that and it was nice. Maybe an option to add some color as it helps your resume stand out from other people's (having to print on colored cardstock to try and stand out) but overall I got my whole resume updated in a total of 2 1/2 hours. Awesome.
