JOB INTERVIEW PRACTICE 2.0 In this newest release, we took a look at the way we approach job interview practice. Previously, every job interview session was tied to a resume. That’s all in the past now. You can now create as many interview training sessions as you want, without ever needing a resume. We also added a simple interview management screen that lets you easily switch between different interview sessions, save them, delete them, or access your old practice sessions whenever you want. It should make finding the right interview session a bit less troublesome. Apart from that, we did a whole host of small improvements to the UX of the app. There’s a good chance you won’t even notice most of them. That’s good. They should feel that natural. Finally, we smashed some bugs. (Sorry, bugs!)

REFRESHED UI + JOB BOARD In this latest release, we’ve made further improvements to the app’s UI based on feedback from our users. We’ve added a new dashboard that should make accessing the most frequently used features a bit easier. We’ve also enhanced the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, which is now contextual and better reflects the tool you’re using. The mobile app now includes access to Kickresume’s job board, similar to its desktop counterpart. You can now use your newly created resumes and cover letters to apply for jobs directly within the app. Additionally, we’ve made some subtle visual changes to the UI. While these changes aren’t drastic, we hope they’ll make the app feel more sleek and enjoyable to use. Oh, and, as always, we’ve squashed some bugs—just to keep with tradition.

FEBRUARY 2025 UX UPDATE IS HERE! We’ve just made several small changes to the app’s UX. The dashboard has been redesigned to take better advantage of swipe gestures. Also, the edit screen has been reorganized to better reflect how people intuitively approach resume building. These changes are the result of rigorous UX research conducted on (mostly) willing test subjects and should make the app more new-user-friendly. Finally, just like always, we smashed some bugs. It’s a never-ending battle.

SHARING DOESN’T HAVE TO BE SCARY + AI TOOLBOX Resumes and cover letters are made for sharing, which is why we’re giving you even more sharing options directly inside the app. Among other options, you can now share your documents via a unique URL. Give it a try! Also, the sheer number of different AI features inside Kickresume was begging for a little spring cleaning. Now, you can find them all together in a separate section for AI tools called—surprise, surprise—the AI Toolbox. Lastly, we have also made several improvements on the back end of the app. It should now run a bit better and be bug-free.

YET ANOTHER RELEASE In this most recent release, your favorite app gets an UNDO/REDO feature, which should make reverting any unwanted changes easier. We did that because we always found the built-in undo/redo somewhat clunky on all mobile platforms. Hopefully, we managed to fix that at least inside our own app. Then there’s the AI Writer. Now you can finally use AI to help you generate any resume section. (Previously, this feature was limited only to the work experience and volunteering sections, and the cover letter.) And that’s about it. Like always, we had to smash some bugs but that’s a given. We hope you like these new changes. See you at the next release!
