For years, IndiGo’s scale, efficiency, and market dominance have shaped the industry’s growth story. But dominance also brings systemic risk. When the country’s largest airline falters, the impact runs far beyond passengers—into cargo networks, airport operations, express logistics, and pharma supply chains. The real question now isn’t whether the government can act tough. It’s whether it should, and how tough that action can realistically be without destabilising the very ecosystem it is trying to discipline.
