Youth unemployment is rising faster in the UK than anywhere else in the G7 - and it’s not just because of AI. Our Youth Employment Index shows a much bigger story: nearly one in eight young people are now not in education, employment or training (NEET), and the barriers they face won’t simply disappear when the labour market stabilises. Even a degree no longer guarantees a graduate job. Graduate employment is at its lowest level since 2014. But the future isn’t set in stone. With targeted action, the UK could unlock up to £26 billion in additional GDP. Swipe through for the key insights. https://pwc.to/3KLWTMt

Resilience starts with better questions. When global events shift faster than contingency plans can keep up, leaders need the insight to ask what really matters - and the fluency to act on it. Here are five questions helping organisations make faster decisions, navigate geopolitical risk and build resilience where it counts: https://pwc.to/48s0RD6

“It’s so important for women to be part of the voice shaping our structures around data, so we can be truly inclusive and representative.” Closing the gender gap in data and tech doesn’t happen by accident - it takes action, visibility and community. That’s what our recent Women in Data, Tech and AI event set out to do. We brought clients and colleagues together for an afternoon of hands-on learning, live tech showcases and open conversations about building and navigating careers in a fast-moving field. Thank you to Meera P., Jo Hills, Serena Campbell, and Grace Cleverley for creating a space that championed growth, confidence and connection. 🎥 Highlights below.

“The typical conversation is the CEO says, ‘What are we doing around AI?’ – ‘Oh yes, I’ve turned on the chat bot’ – and that’s it.” If only it were that simple. In reality, AI adoption takes meaningful investment, the right skills and a workforce that’s ready for change. That’s exactly what our Chief Technology Officer Umang Paw talks about in this episode of The Times 'The Business' podcast. https://lnkd.in/etfaBiwN

We’re proud to announce a new partnership with Team Forces. We don’t just work with the Defence sector – we’re a part of it, through our Military Network, the veterans in our team and the work we do with the UK Ministry of Defence and private defence firms. The armed forces make sacrifices every day to keep the UK safe, and by supporting Team Forces, we are helping to give something back: sports events and life experiences to improve the welfare of serving personnel, veterans and military families.

I'm delighted that PwC has joined Team Forces as a Silver Sponsor. The partnership underlines our commitment to support serving personnel, veterans and their families through sport and adventurous training. We recognise the value that physical and mental challenge brings to increasing military effectiveness and maintaining morale. It is a powerful mission, and we are proud to be a part of it. #PwCProud #TeamForces #Defence #Military Conor O'Hagan Ian Hillier Steve Kershaw Jim Higham Phillippa O'Connor Tim Wakefield Lamont Kirkland CBE More information can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eyv5cNVt

The Autumn Budget provided some welcome stability for businesses – but if you want to grow in 2026, it also added a whole new set of decisions to make. In an article for The Times, Claire Blackburn, Head of Tax and Barret Kupelian, Chief Economist outline the key issues you'll need to consider – and highlight where further government attention is needed around productivity, tax reform and long-term growth. AI is moving faster than the UK’s skills system and the gap is widening. This isn’t just a talent challenge; it’s a growth challenge. And it’s becoming one of the biggest constraints on UK productivity. That’s why we’ve partnered with Innovate UK to launch the AI Skills Hub - a first-of-its-kind platform built to help people and employers move from awareness to action. Employers consistently report that the biggest barriers to adopting AI isn’t the technology - it’s time, cost and appropriate training to upskill their workforce. The AI Skills Hub brings together trusted, relevant courses and learning pathways in one place, starting with four industries where the opportunity is huge: 🚜 Agriculture & Food Processing 🏗️ Construction 🎨 Creative 🚚 Transport, Logistics & Warehousing The content is valuable for anyone looking to build practical AI capability, whatever your role or sector. So if you’re asking yourself: ❓Where do I start? ❓Which skills matter most for my industry? ❓How can I upskill my workforce with up-to-date and reliable information? …this platform is built to answer exactly those questions. AI is already shaping the economy. The real question is how we shape our skills to match it. 👉 Explore the AI Skills Hub and start your learning journey. What’s the one AI skill you think will matter most in your industry over the next year?
