    First, the file order should be FileB FileA according to your script, right? Second, I think the desired fields are 10 and 11 not 7 and 8. Perhaps OP could clarify whether or not $12 should be included as well. Commented May 13, 2015 at 16:30

  • @user106326; I have tested the awk program with the data you posted and it worked; the output I posted is what was shown on stdout. Please re-inspect carefully what you've done. (An empty output may be an indication of switched files A and B. - The first file argument, FileB, must contain the IDs, and the second file argument, FileA, must contain the actual data to parse.)
