  • How exactly did you try to remove then reinstall? Asking because the repository is correct so just uninstalling the package and reinstalling (or just reinstalling in one go with the --reinstall parameter) should be trivial. Commented Feb 19, 2023 at 18:59
  • As i remember I did "apt purge tor", later apt install tor I did ;. Create a new file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ named tor.list. Add the following entries: deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/tor-archive-keyring.gpg] deb.torproject.org/torproject.org <DISTRIBUTION> main deb-src [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/tor-archive-keyring.gpg] deb.torproject.org/torproject.org <DISTRIBUTION> main then added the gpg key as per support.torproject.org/apt/tor-deb-repo Commented Feb 20, 2023 at 12:09
