Kinsley Searles

Kinsley Searles is an Associate Editor at Business Insider Reviews, specializing in sleep, home, and travel. She's the first person people call when they need a good pillow or suitcase recommendation. 

Experience

Kinsley first joined Business Insider as a Freelance Writer in early 2024, where she covered products from hamster cages to suitcases before joining the team as a Home and Sleep Reviews Fellow in February 2025. As a fellow, she developed a niche in the home and sleep space, tested dozens of products, and worked major deal days. 

Prior to her career in service journalism, Kinsley worked in student support in higher education.

Kinsley has a passion for product testing and research, developing detailed procedures and scouring product pages for the most minute details. She's devoted to trying out products in her own home (even if that means trying a new set of sheets every week). Kinsley received her B.A. in English Literature and her M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric from Kansas State University.

A lifelong Kansan now living in Indiana, you can often find Kinsley browsing the aisles of her local antique store for additions to her gallery wall, adding too many Boss's Orders to her decks in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, crocheting things she doesn't need, attempting yet another hobby, demolishing her siblings and boyfriend in Mario Party, and enjoying a good movie or TV show with her chaotic and wiggly dog, Boo.
