Walmart has a plethora of goods for the everyday American consumer. On any occasion, you can walk in and get affordable groceries, clothes, and electronics -- but did you know that the popular retailer even offers bed-in-a-box mattresses?

Allswell is the corporation’s online mattress brand, and for the price, each of its four mattresses is surprisingly high-quality. They’re all hybrid beds, meaning they can support people of all body types, and on top of that, each has a neutral feel to accommodate a wide range of sleep preferences. In this review, I’ll take you through the brand’s current lineup and discuss everything you should know about these beds before you buy.

Allswell mattress lineup 2025

The Allswell

Dillon Lopez/CNET

This is essentially the brand’s flagship offering. It’s a basic hybrid mattress that offers plenty of support from its coils on the bottom, coupled with a slight amount of pressure relief from the memory foam on top. It’s also the thinnest Allswell, coming in at around ten inches thick.

While you’d think its top layer of memory foam would give the Allswell a sink-in quality, we found it to have more of a generally accommodating neutral hybrid feel. Similar to beds like the Brooklyn Bedding Signature or the Tuft & Needle Original Hybrid, when you hop on this mattress, it just feels like a straightforward hybrid bed. It presents sleepers with an unassuming, standard type of mattress feel.

However, it is a slightly firmer mattress. We’d place it between medium and medium-firm on our firmness scale. This makes it a viable option for all sleeper types, but it is most suitable for back, stomach and combination sleepers who usually prefer firmer, more supportive mattresses.

When it comes to price, this is one of the most downright affordable beds we’ve ever encountered online -- especially for a hybrid one of its quality. Before the discount, you can usually pick up a queen size for just $284, which is a great deal in my book.

Allswell Luxe

Dillon Lopez/CNET

From the Allswell, you move up into the slightly more enhanced bed comfort-wise, the Luxe. It designed to be slightly thicker than the flagship Allswell, adding in some more comfort elements to accommodate more preferences and sleeper types.

Similar to the Allswell, the Luxe has a neutral hybrid feel that should work for just about anyone. A mattress with this type of overall feel is a great place to start for those unsure as to what they want in their next bed. Unless, of course, you know you want a body-conforming memory foam option or something with an ultra-responsive latex foam feel, getting a neutral-feeling mattress is often a safe choice.

The Luxe is also around a true medium on our scale. Whether you like to sleep on your back, side, stomach, or a combination of all three throughout the night, you should be good to go here. Out of all the beds from Allswell, this is probably my favorite one in terms of how comfortable the bed is for the price.

You can usually expect to snag the queen size for just shy of the $400 range. Again, anything below $500 with coils is crazy affordable -- especially considering how expensive online beds are getting nowadays.

The Brick

The third bed in the Allswell lineup is focused around providing a greater level of support than your average hybrid bed. The Brick is Allswell’s firmer, more durable hybrid offering that’s specifically designed for primary back and stomach sleepers, or anyone looking for a firmer mattress.

It’s around a proper medium-firm on our scale, making it most suitable for accommodating the support needs of back and stomach sleepers. Some combination sleepers who prefer firmer beds could also get by on it, but if you’re a strict side sleeper looking for pressure relief, you may want to look elsewhere.

I’d describe the top of this bed as feeling like a big, firm panel with little to no give -- it’s not exactly my jam, but some people love it. Compared to the prior beds, it has more of a firm hybrid feel. It still feels like a neutral mattress with an emphasis on firm comfort and support.

Price-wise, a queen size currently retails for $427, which, again, is a steal for a bed like this. One thing to note is that it’s technically listed as the “Extra-Firm” version of the Allswell Luxe online and is offered as the second firmness choice for the Luxe -- you can’t fool our sleep experts that easily, though, Walmart.

Allswell Supreme

Now our version is a bit outdated, but aside from the different exterior, it’s essentially the same bed. This is currently Allswell’s most premium mattress. It’s a pillow top bed that still has coils on the bottom for support, but it has a bit more cushion on top for side sleepers. It’s also the thickest Allswell bed, coming in at a whopping 14-inches thick.

Compared to the other Allswells, I’d say the Supreme presents sleepers with more of a memory foam sensation. That said, it’s not going to feel as dense and viscous as something like a Tempur-Pedic. Instead, it provides a slight slow-to-respond feel, which, coupled with the softer comfort elements on top, could feel quite cozy to some.

While it’s a bit softer, it’s also not overwhelmingly soft. I’d place it right around a medium on our firmness scale, give or take. Given the bed’s more cushioning pillow top, this is probably my Allswell recommendation for strict side sleepers or combination sleepers who favor sleeping on their sides at night. That said, it should work for most sleeper types out there. It even comes with a cooling cover these days -- a nice perk for hot sleepers.

This is the most expensive mattress from the brand, but in this case, expensive is a pretty strong word. A queen size is currently available for well below the $500 mark, around $487, to be exact. Again, if getting a cheap bed online is important to you and you want some options at your disposal, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better brand than Allswell -- the proof is in the pudding, or I guess, on Walmart.com.

Allswell mattress pricing

On the subject of price, here’s the exact pricing that Allswell is currently offering on its mattresses. Pricing for online beds does fluctuate from time to time, but this is what we usually see in terms of cost for these options.

Prices below are without discounts, which they rarely offer due to how affordable the beds already are:

  • The Allswell: Prices start around $194 for a twin and go up to about $354 for a Cal king
  • The Luxe: Prices start around $287 for a twin and go up to about $599 for a Cal king
  • The Brick: Prices start around $297 for a twin and go up to about $497 for a king
  • The Supreme: Prices start around $337 for a twin and go up to about $577 for a Cal king

Free shipping

All of the Allswell mattresses will ship to you for completely free inside of a large, cardboard box. The unboxing process is super easy and takes hardly any time to complete, but you may want a friend to help you unbox, since hybrid options can be heavier.

Once out of the box, your new Allswell may appear to be a bit misshapen, Keep in mind, this is completely normal, there’s nothing wrong with your new bed, it just needs time to inflate.

90-night trial

Once the beds are in your possession, you get around three full months to test these Allswell beds out in the comfort of your own home, risk-free, before they’re officially yours. That’s more than enough time to decide if you want to keep your new bed or send it back.

Return policy

At any point after the first 90 nights post-delivery you decide the bed isn’t exactly right for you, you can return your Allswell mattress for free and get a refund.

Warranty

All Allswell mattresses are backed by a standard 10-year warranty. This is the usual warranty timeframe to expect from most online mattresses.

Which Allswell mattress should you get?

Dillon Lopez/CNET

Since they’re all so affordable, it really just comes down to the type of mattress you’d prefer. If you’re on a shoestring budget and you just want a no-frills, neutral hybrid bed, go with The Allswell.

If you want a little more of a comfort advantage in your next bed and you’re to spend up slightly more, go with the Luxe. Since its the most affordable medium option from the brand, it should accommodate more sleeper types along with your wallet.

If you’re looking for a more supportive budget bed for primary back and stomach sleepers, go for the Brick, but if you want a softer, more premium Allswell mattress instead, go with the Supreme -- any way you go, you’re still paying under $500.

Personally speaking, I’m a big fan of the Luxe. I think it’s a super affordable bed that’s also really comfy and quality, and it's got that medium firmness to accommodate all sleeper types. Being a combination sleeper, that bed would be my choice out of the entire Allswell mattress lineup. That said, the Supreme wouldn’t be a bad choice, in my opinion, either.

How does Allswell compare to similar mattress brands?

Allswell vs. Leesa

These are two of popular brands within the online space. Both have many different beds that are all backed by a similar policy set, but Leesa as a brand has far more mattresses to consider. The flagship beds from either brand are quite similar in that they’re both neutral all-foam mattresses, but the Original Leesa is a bit softer than the Allswell, making it more accommodating for all sleeper types. When it comes to price, though, the Allswell is way more affordable by comparison.

Allswell vs. Nectar

These are two top considerations when looking at more affordable options online. The biggest distinction between these two brands comes down to the types of mattresses you’re getting. With Allswell, you’re getting neutral and memory foam beds, whereas with Nectar, you’re just getting memory foam mattresses. Nectar also has the more expensive mattress lineup, offering some different all-foam choices to consider. However, Allswell is the clear winner when it comes to affordability.

Allswell mattress FAQs

How long does it take for an Allswell mattress to fully expand?

Right out of the box, you can technically sleep on an Allswell mattress, but it may feel a bit uncomfortable. This is due to the fact that beds need time to sit out and properly inflate to their true form post-unboxing. While you can sleep on the bed at night one, we recommend letting it sit out on your foundation for a full night so it can fully expand -- it’ll feel a lot better once you do that, trust me.

Am I supposed to flip my Allswell mattress?

Sadly, you cannot flip any of the Allswell beds. There are many beds within the online space that are double-sided, which is kinda cool -- who doesn’t want two beds in one? Many options, like the Layla and Plank beds, are flippable and definitely worth your consideration.

What is the average lifespan of an Allswell mattress?

Generally speaking, the average lifespan of a bed is between 7-10 years. This should definitely be the case for all four Allswells, as each one is a fairly durable hybrid mattress. Depending on your body type, these Allswell beds should last most sleepers for several years to come.
