After eight years in France’s video game industry and a creative stint running her own sewing business, Han decided to cross the sea for a new chapter at Google Dublin. Now a Program Manager on Google’s Global Infrastructure team, Han helps ensure the network that powers Google runs seamlessly. “I'd like to think of myself as a ‘captain’ of a program,” she says. “Steering the ship, making sure every team involved is working together and has what they need to reach a common destination as smoothly as possible. My team specifically delivers WAN capacity, basically allowing Google's network to handle all the data flowing through it across the world.” When asked about the one non-negotiable skill needed for her role, Han shares: “Definitely a ‘soft skill’ like the ability to lead and influence without authority,” she says. “As we're at the center of a complex web of teams and stakeholders, it is crucial for us to build cross-functional relationships, motivate team members with vision and empathy!” Her favorite part of the Dublin office? The people. “It is a huge hub of international teammates from all backgrounds and cultures that I find the most interesting.” Explore open roles at Google Dublin → https://goo.gle/4pxbFpf

Meet David, an Austin-based software engineer at Google. “I work on Google Play, where I focus on all things regarding users’ Play Library,” he explains. David was initially drawn to working at Google because of our global reach. “Solving problems for a few thousand users is one thing; having your work affect hundreds of millions — sometimes even billions — is entirely different,” he says. “At Google, we get to solve problems at a scale that is massive. This brings its own challenges, but the impact is worth it.” Want to make a global impact like David? Explore our open roles and career opportunities → https://goo.gle/4kKGHrd

As a Product Solutions Consultant on the Google Customer Solutions team (gTech Ads) in Chicago, Rohini is the technical bridge keeping major campaigns on track. “I specialize in Display & Video 360 (DV360), and my core mission is instant, deep-level problem-solving. My priority is clear: minimize advertiser loss, prevent campaign downtime, and protect partner trust.” Before joining gTech Ads, Rohini worked hands-on with network infrastructure — experience that taught her the importance of stability and thoughtful diagnostics. She now brings that same mindset to DV360. What makes the role work is turning technical analysis into meaningful business insights. “Success requires the ability to quickly translate deeply technical findings—such as a specific bug in a DV360 — into clear, concise, and high-level business impacts for non-technical audiences.” When it comes to advice, Rohini encourages future PSCs to think beyond a single product. “First, master the ecosystem, not just the platform,” she says. She also emphasizes developing strong Root Cause Analysis habits, building cross-functional empathy and translating technical solutions for different audiences — skills that turn technical expertise into real influence at Google. At Google’s NYC office, Sarah works at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and public impact as an External Communications Manager. Her role spans media outreach, PR campaigns, spokesperson work and helping audiences make sense of Google’s innovations. In her words, “My core role is securing media coverage for Google's biggest initiatives and acting as an on-air spokesperson to communicate the value of our products directly to audiences.” Sarah’s days move quickly — from new product roadmap discussions to national TV appearances. “My day requires constant context switching: One hour I might be focused on AI safety strategy, and the next I'm prepping for a TV spot on the latest Search trends, " she says. For anyone interested in communications, Sarah says one capability is essential: “The most important skill is the ability to translate complex technology into useful, digestible information. You have to understand the technical 'magic,' anticipate the audience's questions, and distill it all into a clear, public message.” Above all, she’s driven by purpose. “I love that my job allows me to be a voice for technology that helps people. I’m not just pitching a product; I’m telling a story about people receiving emergency information for a major crisis, the small business owner using Google Maps, or the doctors leveraging AI for early disease detection. That sense of purpose is what makes Google the best place to build a career.” Interested in communications careers at Google? Learn more → https://goo.gle/3K1AVVo

Meet Alexandra-Irina, a Bucharest-based software engineer on Google’s Health Platform Infrastructure team. In Alexandra’s words, her path to Google was “a journey defined by overcoming self-doubt and embracing opportunity.” During Alexandra’s first year of university, a classmate encouraged her to apply to one of Google’s student internship programs. “Honestly, I didn't believe I would be accepted,” she shared. “But I ultimately decided to apply, concluding that I had nothing to lose. That single decision was pivotal.” During her internship, Alexandra received mentorship, guidance, and “insight into real-world software development” — bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice. She returned to Google the following summer, and today works as a backend engineer building secure and accessible systems that impact millions of users. One of the lessons Alexandra learned is that soft skills, such as effective team communication, are just as important as technical contributions. Adaptability — “being open to constantly learning, embracing change and adjusting your ways of working according to the needs of the team” — is equally vital. And ultimately, Alexandra advises all aspiring Googlers to believe in themselves. “Dare to apply and pursue the opportunities that intimidate you.” Explore our open roles and career opportunities → https://goo.gle/4kKGHrd
