I am thrilled to share that I'm joining HappyRobot as VP of Sales. It's no secret, we are in a special era of building in San Francisco, and during my search I had the opportunity to meet with so many amazing teams working incredibly hard on inspiring missions. I determined HappyRobot was the place for me because of: 1. Technology: our product and the people building it are of incredible quality. We're shipping constantly towards an inspiring vision, and most importantly, we are providing REAL, measurable value to Enterprise customers. 2. Customer Centricity: in every conversation I had during the process, we came back to the customer. In a meaningful way, not a performative one. We ask ourselves how we can be the best partner a client works with. We're honest about where we're falling short. We get on a plane when they need us. 3. People: one of our company values is "We are 'Majos'" -- these folks are not only some of the smartest and hardest working people I've ever met, they are the people you want to sit shoulder to shoulder with when things get really hard. This group is kind and thoughtful, with low ego and high bias to action. I am proud and humbled to join the team who will power the real economy. After six years at Tonkean, I’m stepping into a new chapter as VP of Client Experience at HappyRobot. Tonkean has been one of the most meaningful professional experiences where I learned a tremendous amount, worked alongside exceptional people, and watched the company expand into verticals that it’s uniquely positioned to dominate. I’ll always be proud of what we built together and wish them nothing but success. So why HappyRobot? First, the technology really works and it’s incredible. Our voice agents aren’t theoretical flashy demos. They’re on the phone with real humans, solving real problems in the real economy. Every customer conversation reinforces the same thing: this is a breakthrough. Watching companies grow their agentic workforce and seeing the impact firsthand is the kind of validation you don’t get often. Second, the personal challenge is exactly what I was looking for. Scaling an AI-native organization with this much momentum is going to stretch me, force me to grow, and give me a chance to help build something with real velocity. There’s lightning in a bottle here. Being trusted to help lead post-sales to the next level is both energizing and humbling. Third, the people. No fluff, no ego, no corporate nonsense. Just smart, kind, driven operators who challenge each other respectfully and are fully aligned on where we’re going. The unity and clarity of purpose here are rare. I’m grateful to everyone involved in the process for the thoughtful conversations and the confidence they’ve shown in me. It made the decision clear. We've officially opened our Chicago office! 🏙️ Chicago is where so many of our customers are, so, since we find ourselves in the city so often, we decided to officially put down some roots. DHL Supply Chain has expanded its collaboration with AI startup HappyRobot after an 18-month trial period, deploying autonomous agents that manage communications through phone, email, WhatsApp, and SMS. The system processes hundreds of thousands of emails and millions of voice call minutes yearly, handling tasks like appointment scheduling, driver coordination, and warehouse communications without human intervention. DHL's CIO Sally Miller emphasized the technology frees employees from administrative work to focus on complex problem-solving. The company views this as crucial for talent retention in a tight labor market, making logistics roles more engaging by eliminating repetitive tasks while improving service consistency. Our deployment team had an amazing onsite working on an implementation with JEAR Logistics, LLC team, Dawson Smith, Travis McLeod, & Mark Allen! ⚡ A HappyRobot deployment team = DS (deployment strategist) + FDE (forward deployed engineer). DSs are experts in gaining a deep understanding of the core problems to be solved and architecting a deployment that solves those problems. FDEs are experts in leveraging HappyRobot’s AI orchestration platform to build custom AI workers that handle mission-critical operations at scale. An absolutely critical part of our implementations is sending a deployment team to our customers’ offices to sit side by side with operations and technology teams with one goal in mind: ensure we’re delivering real value for our partners. As Dawson shared, this in person collaboration with both teams is a huge accelerator for deployments and time to impact. We’re incredibly grateful for partners like JEAR for their dedication in making this implementation a success. We are incredibly excited to officially announce our partnership with DHL. 🚚 DHL Supply Chain has already successfully utilized HappyRobot's AI workers across several regions and use cases, targeting hundreds of thousands of emails and millions of calls annually across workflows including appointment scheduling, driver follow-up calls, and high-priority warehouse coordination.
