Digital technologies shape how we live, work and connect. But without strong safeguards, they can erode rights and deepen inequalities. Our new Digital Rights Dashboard - piloted in Colombia, Lebanon, Mauritania, North Macedonia and Samoa - is a tool to understand and advance digital rights, co-creating solutions for a rights-based digital future. The insights gained enable analysis of digital human rights data across more than 140 countries, helping track digital progress and spark dialogue on how to improve. The Dashboard was developed thanks to generous contribution from the Republic of Korea through UNDP #FundingWindows. Read below and explore the Dashboard here: https://go.undp.org/iXa

The war in Gaza has generated about 68 million tons of debris according to UNDP Palestinian - which is equivalent to the weight of around 186 Empire State Buildings. If the debris were spread over Manhattan, there would be 215 pounds on every square foot. Its safe removal is critical to recovery. So far, around 209,000 tons of debris have been collected and recycled or repurposed. UNDP Palestinian is equipped to scale up rubble removal and debris management operations. DYK that every year US$2 trillion is stolen, laundered, and hidden from governments and communities around the world? Weak governance leads to a lack of financial integrity, breeding corruption, illicit financial flows, money laundering, embezzlement and tax abuses. And a lack of financial integrity leads to a severe drain on development financing and drives mistrust and inequality. Corruption remains one of the hardest challenges to measure and without data, it remains anecdotal; with data, it becomes measurable. Through our global network of more than 170 countries, we support country-level governance ecosystems including anti-corruption measurement systems to enable evidence-based reforms and advance the progress of Sustainable Development Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. This International Anti-Corruption Day, see how we are harnessing data to improve corruption measurement: https://go.undp.org/iRV #IACD2025 #UnitedAgainstCorruption
