- [Instructor] One of the most important functions of a firewall is being able to block and allow traffic from the inside out and from the outside in. So let's set up a rule that will allow web traffic from the outside to the inside. So on my computer that I'm on now, if I type IP config and we can see my IP address internally is 95.5 and I've installed the built-in web server you can do for free, internet information services. And I'm just going to confirm that I've got the default webpage that comes up and there's my default IIS page that you get when you install the product. So my goal is going to be from the outside to be able to access this page through the firewall. Now, even though HTTP is not considered secure, the port itself is not important.
