- Sometimes it's helpful to put the information produced by our software analytics into action in the physical world. This is where XR or extended reality comes into view. These sensory devices present the information produced by a smart product or smart operations in a way that makes the information more useful and actionable. From Snap smart glasses to full VR gear from Magic Leap, XR makes information more consumable than when simply looking at it on a flat screen. It does this by extending seeing, hearing, and touch with useful information. For example, by providing field service personnel with hyper senses, allows them to do their jobs better, by having better seeing, better hearing, and, in some cases, better feeling.
