- [Instructor] Common in video games is something called God Mode. In this mode, your player cannot be damaged and often has all the equipment and power available in the game. Yes, it's a cheat. Windows doesn't have a cheat code, but it does have a God Mode. It's a folder full of shortcuts to popular Windows features. To enable God Mode, create a folder shortcut. I'll do so right here on the desktop, right-click, choose New, Folder, and here's the secret, you have to rename the folder to activate God Mode. Here is the name which I'll repeat as I type it in on my computer. Though, you can pause the video here as a reference. This is a file name, and there are no spaces. If the new folder name isn't highlighted, press the F2 key with the folder icon selected, and then type in the folder name God Mode.
