Setting lock screen options
- [Instructor] Whenever I leave the computer for a moment, especially when my cat is in a playful mood, I lock windows. Press the Windows L keyboard shortcut and the screen is locked. This is the lock screen. It can be simple, or as you see here, it can contain information tidbits. It might even show notifications, which could compromise your security. For example, a sensitive email or other message can appear here, which might not be appropriate if you think the computer is really locked. To control the lock screen, sign back into Windows. Press the Windows I keyboard shortcut, and in the settings app, choose personalization, lock screen. These settings are found under the personalization category because you can add your own flare to the lock screen. You could choose a specific picture, a solid color, or the image that Microsoft sends from the mothership, which changes daily. This item here controls the information…
