Moving the Start button

- [Instructor] One of the things users first noticed after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is that the start button moved. Since Windows 95, the start button dwelled on the far left end of the task bar, here. In Windows 11, it slid across the task bar to the middle. Joining it are the parade of task bar items, which are also centered. The left end can be the widget button as shown here, or nothing at all, but do you miss the task bar being over here? Muscle memory and all that. Well, if so, you can move it back. Right click the task bar and choose task bar settings, expand task bar behaviors. This menu sets the task bar alignment, which includes the start button and the parade of icons, left, and you see everything scurry over there to the left, which is where a lot of people prefer it. If the widget icon is present, it relocates to left of the notification icons, which remain on the right end of the task bar. Now I prefer alignment center. With the buttons here in the middle,…
