From the course: ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) (2024) Cert Prep

Earning your SSCP

- Hi, I'm Mike Chapple and I'd like to welcome you to our course on the SSCP exam. The Systems Security Certified Practitioner credential is a popular entry-level certification for cybersecurity professionals. The International Information System Security Certification Consortium sponsors the SSCP. Now, that name is a mouthful, so most people simply refer to them by their acronym ISC2. As you work your way through this course, you'll pick up all the knowledge that you need to earn your SSCP certification. I've been an information security professional for over 25 years in the government, private industry, and higher education. I hold many security certifications and I've been active as a security certification expert for decades. As we get started, I'll provide you with the background knowledge that you need to begin your preparations for the SSCP exam. We'll cover the value of the SSCP certification, describe the seven domains of the curriculum, give you an insider's view of the exam and help you design your own study strategy. Then, we'll dive straight into the content. All right, let's get rolling.
