- [Instructor] We've studied different gaps and other information in this series for Explore California and their tour bookings. We can see things like number of tours taken, even tours each month, different tours by month, just all of the typical data measures for this type of data. And that's been great, but we need to gain insight with different questions. And to do this, we need to implement the concept of cohorts. Cohorts are where you group similar data based on a shared set of characteristics. Now, to identify a cohort, all you need is a cohort definition based on the things that you believe are shared characteristics of the data that you want to work with. And for our analysis, we're going to define a cohort based on the first tour, a guest for Explore California books. Now, the guest may take multiple tours, but their cohort is based on their very first one. This allows us to transition our questions from…
