- [Instructor] Most popular data tools these days have some form of basic analysis built in. Even an Excel spreadsheet has some pretty advanced analysis commands that you can use. There's two that I want to show you. I'm using an up-to-date version of Excel. And on the home tab of the ribbon, I have analyze data. This will allow me to discover insights without having to do a lot of work upfront. This also assumes that our data is clean. So what I want to do is go ahead and do some basic cleaning of this data. I want to analyze just certain things within the data. Okay, let's open up a new spreadsheet. Let's go to data, get data, and let's connect to our shop data. I'll go ahead and choose shop data. and I'll choose transform data. Okay, we want to work with some of the data, but not all of it, we're doing some basic analysis. So I'll go to choose columns.
