Elicitation and sampling: The bleeding edge of MCP
- The MCP protocol is constantly evolving, and as more people use the protocol and more servers are built, the people manning the protocol, so to speak, the MCP steering committee, sees a need to add more features, to add more guardrails, effectively pave the cow path and put guardrails around it so that people are making it work the way they want to, and so that it works the way people want to and so that there is reduced risk of things going wrong. Two new features that are so new they are still on the bleeding edge and only work in some places, and even then are not finalized in how they work, are elicitation and sampling. And that's what I'll just demonstrate today. I've built some examples in a GitHub repository that you can download and play with yourself. You'll find the full GitHub repository with all the features you need. Today is day three, so all the examples sit under day three.
