- [Instructor] When your website isn't accessible, your denying access to your information, products and services to a large group of users. Building a business website that arbitrarily denies access to members of the world's largest minority group, around one in six people worldwide, has no shortage of downsides. Ethics alone would suggest that denying people access to your platform is the wrong thing to do, but an accessible website isn't just an ethics question. Although creating an accessible website is unquestionably the right thing to do, it's also a legal obligation in many jurisdictions, including most of Europe, parts of Canada and the United States. Failure to provide an accessible experience can expose you to significant legal risk.
