- [Narrator] Take a moment to look at your website or a website you like. How does the navigation work? Does it have just a few links or many? Is it a mega menu or just lists of links? Can you navigate through the links from your keyboard? Does the choice of menu type make sense for this content? The first step in building effective, accessible navigation, is to figure out the best menu pattern for your menu, one that matches the content you're navigating. After determining what kind of pattern to use, you need to build it with accessibility in mind. The core of WordPress Navigation menus is a series of nested lists. This is a great way to organize many menus. It has a clear hierarchy and a logical pattern to introduce drop-down navigation. With no styles or scripting, it's as straight forward as you can get.
