- [Instructor] Navigation menus are a key global element of any website. Being able to navigate is central to using the site so it's a good first test. On our demo site, I'll start by exploring the navigation menu. While I look at this site, you should think about whether you've seen a menu like this before. If you ran the same tests, what would you learn? Visually, I expect that this menu is going to have dropdown menus and that they'll probably be triggered on hover or possibly by clicking on that button. I'll explore this. They're not being triggered on hover, so hopefully they're going to happen by clicking on this caret figure, and they are. So now I know what type of a menu I have and what I should be looking for. Let's see how it works with the keyboard. I'm going to turn on a bookmarklet called the key visualizer bookmarklet which will help track what keys I'm pressing as I work.
