Game notes
- Less than a week after facing them at TD Garden, the Bruins begin a three-game road trip through the heartland(ish) of America/Canada with a visit to Enterprise Center to face the Blues.
- The B’s won last week’s game 5-2, led by a two-goal effort from Pavel Zacha.
- The Blues have played twice since that Thursday loss, winning both games on a back-to-back weekend. They beat the Senators 2-1 in Ottawa on Saturday before beating the Canadiens 4-3 in Montreal on Sunday.
- Brayden Schenn and Dylan Holloway led the way for St. Louis in that Montreal game, with each putting up three points (2G-1A for Schenn, 1G-2A for Holloway).
- Jordan Binnington started that Montreal game for St. Louis, so we may end up seeing Joel Hofer tonight instead.
- The Bruins got some good news during their off days, with Charlie McAvoy back at practice and in a regular jersey. It appears both McAvoy and David Pastrnak will travel with the team on this trip, though their return dates are still TBD.
- Morgan Geekie’s ridiculous run continues, as the high-scoring forward has put up 5G-4A-9PTS totals in his last five games. In addition, Elias Lindholm has somewhat quietly (in terms of fanfare) recorded eight assists in his list five games.
See ya tonight!
