Storage Control API C++ Client Library
An idiomatic C++ client library for the Storage Control API, a service to Lets you store and retrieve potentially-large, immutable data objects.
While this library is GA, please note that the Google Cloud C++ client libraries do not follow Semantic Versioning. Semantic Versioning.
Quickstart
The following shows the code that you'll run in the google/cloud/storagecontrol/quickstart/ directory, which should give you a taste of the Cloud Storage Control API C++ client library API.
#include "google/cloud/storagecontrol/v2/storage_control_client.h" #include <iostream> int main(int argc, char* argv[]) try { if (argc != 2) { std::cerr << "Usage: " << argv[0] << " bucket-id\n"; return 1; } auto const name = std::string{"projects/_/buckets/"} + argv[1] + "/storageLayout"; namespace storagecontrol = ::google::cloud::storagecontrol_v2; auto client = storagecontrol::StorageControlClient( storagecontrol::MakeStorageControlConnection()); auto layout = client.GetStorageLayout(name); if (!layout) throw std::move(layout).status(); std::cout << layout->DebugString() << "\n"; return 0; } catch (google::cloud::Status const& status) { std::cerr << "google::cloud::Status thrown: " << status << "\n"; return 1; } Main classes
The main class in this library is storagecontrol_v2::StorageControlClient. All RPCs are exposed as member functions of this class. Other classes provide helpers, configuration parameters, and infrastructure to mock storagecontrol_v2::StorageControlClient when testing your application.
