Tours of the School of Data Science
Register for an in-person Student Ambassador-led tour of the School of Data Science. These 30-minute tours are offered during the academic year on Fridays at 12:00 p.m. and select other days. Student Ambassadors will highlight what it's like to be a student at the School of Data Science and all the features of our new building, which opened in June 2024.
Tours are open to all prospective School of Data Science undergraduate and graduate students. For a large group tour or to request a tour on a different day, email sdsadmissions@virginia.edu to coordinate your visit.
B.S. in Data Science
Connect with our Admissions Ambassadors who are here to answer your questions and be an additional resource as you consider the data science major. Feel free to email one directly with questions about the School and student life. You can also meet ambassadors in person at the following weekly events (during the academic year):
Ambassador-hosted Drop-In Hours: Newcomb Hall, Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; Outside the 2nd floor dining hall
Ambassador-hosted Drop-In Hours: School of Data Science, Fridays from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; Student Affairs/Admissions Suite on 1st floor
Ambassador-led School Tours: School of Data Science, Fridays at 12:00 p.m.; 1st floor lobby
High school students should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission for questions related to first-year admission.
