Question from Ioiods on Shell corporation (13:29, 17 November 2025)

[edit]
Note: Ioiods's mentor Plutus is away.

--Ioiods (talk) 13:29, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Ioiods: Hi, and sorry for not responding in Italian as my Italian writing skills are subpar. I suggest looking through WP:Introduction to get some basic grasp on how to edit the English Wikipedia. Since it's a bit unclear what you would like to add I suggest you go forward with your addition (that's supported by reliable sources) or make a detailed comment on the article talk page (Talk:Shell corporation) explaining what you'd like to get changed and a member of the community will help you. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask. Best regards, A09|(talk) 20:40, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! No worries, English is totally fine!
Sorry for writing in Italian :)
Anyway, I think I’ve solved the issue. Thank you for your help — I’ve updated the page and I hope I followed the guidelines correctly.
Thanks! Ioiods (talk) 20:43, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:49, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Cameron Locke (00:10, 19 November 2025)

[edit]

If you look at my user page, I have my religion. I'm trying to get it added to Wikipedia, but they declined it. How do I get it added? --Cameron Locke (talk) 00:10, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Cameron Locke: Your submission Draft:The Sovereign Path needs more reliable sources to back up your claims and to prove this movement satisfies general notability criteria. Please add sources to your draft and then resubmit. Best, A09|(talk) 14:53, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Sam Mike1 (15:34, 19 November 2025)

[edit]

Hello, i'm new here. Can you guide me on how to edit or post, and what are the things i need to put in place. --Sam Mike1 (talk) 15:34, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sam Mike1: Hi and welcome! Since policies and guidelines on this projects are extensive I suggest first reading WP:Introduction, but if you had anything more specific on mind, please do not hesitate and ask. PS: I also left a few more useful links for you on your user talk page. Best, A09|(talk) 15:36, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from TheRealJakub (12:52, 22 November 2025)

[edit]

Hello sir/ma'am/mx., How do I report an article I do not believe is real? Much thanks. --TheRealJakub (talk) 12:52, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@TheRealJakub: Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. The best way is to leave a message on the article talk page, and to tag the article with {{hoax}}. If there's no response from other editors in next few days you would might also want to contact the connected WikiProjects, which are listed on the article talkpage. May I ask what's the article? Anyways, I left you a message with a few links that should help get you started. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Best, A09|(talk) 13:49, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@A09: Hello and thanks for the speedy reply. Sorry I'm getting back to you an hour later.
The article is Kołomyja Uprising created by User:Suzuki "Kaesaru" Takako. My rationale is as follows:
  • I get no results for "Historia Galacii w ruchu oporu i powstaniach" ("History of Galacia in Resistance Movements and Uprisings") by Ferdynand Gulinski, 1923. No such book exists and the "title" is misspelled anyway, should be "Galicji" rather than "Galacii".
    • A work from 1923 should not be used in modern historiography.
  • I get no results for "Пізнє Середньовіччя у Західній Україні: Нова історія" ("Late Middle Ages in Western Ukraine: A New History") by Oleksiy Zaitsev and Nikita Lyashko, 1979.
    • Soviet works are.. dubious at best. If it does exist, I'd suspect it's riddled with some flowery language about how good and brave the peasants were in rebelling against the tyrannical Kingdom of Poland.
  • The authors don't seem to be authors. I get no results for Gulinski, Zaitsev is an artist, and I don't think Lyashko is this Facebook user.
  • The other three sources are copied from the page for the Muha Rebellion, which just repeat basic info about the event.
The whole page seems to be Takako's fantasy. The editor has a history of editing pages related to..Girls und Panzer?? First non-Girls und Panzer-related edit was after a nearly month-long haitus. They also recently moved the page Jupanat of Dimitrie out of draftspace, which was notably created by a deleted user and not by Takako. Hate to make assumptions here but I just don't think that this user is qualified to write about Galacian history, even if the sources were legitimate.
I have flagged the page with the hoax notice as you suggested above. Once more, thank you for the speedy reply. TheRealJakub (talk) 15:06, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Left notices on the Wikiprojects for Ukraine and Poland as well. TheRealJakub (talk) 15:10, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TheRealJakub: You might want to message the author as well and please copy your rationale from above to the article talk page :) Best regards,--A09|(talk) 20:44, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@A09 apologies as I cannot find a better venue.
The editor is now being extremely rude on the talk page for the "uprising". They said: "Go take your PhD in EES, throw it out the window" and "If you can't even move your eyeballs to the help page, maybe you need some help."
Yes, I was a bit off my rocker earlier in the conversation ("Fact of the matter is, I also don't think you're qualified to write this page even if it WAS real.") and I apologise for that. I have plenty of evidence as to why I think this article is a fabrication and they refuse to hear any of it. An unfortunate case, too. If they wanted alternate history or something they could find another website, maybe ProleWiki.
Is there a way I can report this behavior to a higher authority?
Many thanks from TheRealJakub (talk) 01:24, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TheRealJakub You may report them to WP:ANI but your behaviour was subpar as well. I suggest apologising for it and striking your comments where appropriate. A09|(talk) 08:05, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. TheRealJakub (talk) 12:09, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've struckthrough my comments and left a reply on the WP:ANI thread. I was not in the best state of things last night, unfortunately. TheRealJakub (talk) 12:17, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thread was resolved. A09|(talk) 14:53, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please review the templates use guideline at {{recentlydied}}, as this article in no way qualifies for its use. Thank you, - FlightTime (open channel) 20:06, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, will remove. Best, A09|(talk) 20:26, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Article review request

[edit]

Hey, I saw you made some edits on Y Combinator page and wondered if you would be kind enough to review and possibly accept my draft Draft:South_Park_Commons. Thanks! Saphelion (talk) 13:59, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'll pass on this one, sorry. A09|(talk) 22:04, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sahilsambyal move

[edit]

Hello, could I ask you to please also move and link Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sahilsambyal/Archive? I'd do it myself, but I suspect that's meant to be done only by clerks and admins. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 15:26, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
