similar idea to #14 (i haven't actually looked at their code), assume one of the points is one of the two inside the big "notch", and find the farthest away point from there up and down. (taken from here) bench runs in about 80ns on my computer compared to around 0.5ms; i also kept the old solution in there so that unit tests pass.
i'm not too experienced with rust so please give feedback!
