I installed GLB (Galera Load Balancer) on the server following the instructions in this article. The installation appeared to complete successfully, but in the final step, running:

service glb getinfo

produced the following error:

/etc/init.d/glb: .: cannot open /etc/default/glbd: Nosuch file

The guide you say you are following says "Now, copy the default glbd.cfg file into the appropriate configuration directory. For Red Hat and its derivatives, this is /etc/sysconfig/glbd.cfg. For Debian and its derivatives, use /etc/default/glbd.cfg". Did you do that? Also, is the error message reproduced correctly in the question, character by character? Commented Aug 12 at 14:06
  • Yes, I copied the files to the required directories as indicated in the article. Commented Aug 13 at 6:31
  • From the error message, it seems like it's expecting the configuration file to be called /etc/default/glbd rather than /etc/default/glbd.cfg. Have you tried removing that last part of the filename from the file? Commented Aug 13 at 6:35
  • Yes, it's coming out now "Port for control communication is not configured" Commented Aug 13 at 7:16
