ASU Knight Center for the Future of News at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University is pleased to announce that Andy Pergam will be joining the team as the new executive director. Andy brings a remarkable mix of newsroom leadership, digital innovation, and entrepreneurial drive. In addition to advising mission-driven organizations on media, AI and organizational strategy, he helped establish the independent Oversight Board for Meta, served as part of the executive team at McClatchy, launched The Washington Post’s PostTV, led editorial initiatives in academia and media and co-founded Spark Camp. At the ASU Knight Center, Andy will establish the center as a hub for journalism entrepreneurship and experimentation, deepening partnerships with industry and leading research efforts exploring how emerging technologies can strengthen journalism’s public service mission.
