Todd Haselton is the Deputy Editor of Reviews and Commerce for The Verge. Haselton has spent more than 18 years reviewing gadgets in previous roles at MaximumPC, Ars Technica, LAPTOP Magazine and CNBC. Haselton was the technology products editor at CNBC, where he frequently appeared on TV to talk about technology, and most recently served as CNBC’s deputy technology editor. He lives with his wife, two kids and a dog in New Jersey, where he likes to read and game in his free time.

Windows 11 now offers native support for 1Password passkeys.

The feature, part of the Windows November 2025 security update, lets you use Windows Hello to sign in to any app or service with passkeys stored in 1Password. It’s a nice option if you prefer 1Password over Microsoft Password Manager. Microsoft said in a blog post that support for other passkey managers is coming soon.

Meta’s chief AI scientist Yann LeCun reportedly plans to leave.

The Financial Times says LeCun is planning to launch his own start-up and is in early talks to raise funding for it. He’s reportedly planning to leave in the coming months. Meta recently cut approximately 600 jobs from LeCun’s Fundamental AI Research unit as the company shifts its focus to the Superintelligence Labs group, led by chief AI officer Alexandr Wang. Wang was the CEO of Scale AI, which Meta acquired for $14.3 billion.
