If you grew up playing the Super Nintendo and N64 on a beastly tube TV, you may appreciate Joel Hartlaub’s custom dock for the Switch 2. It features an integrated CRT screen, recessed hand grips with shoulder buttons hidden inside, and speakers that outperform those on Nintendo’s latest handheld.

The hack-and-slash title fills gaps in the story and finally gives Princess Zelda her due.

New Horizons is getting an update in January, so we decided to revisit our islands to prepare.

Nintendo released a new trailer today showing off more of the game and a very good Akira slide. As a huge fan of the first Metroid Prime, I can’t wait to check this game out.
Well today was supposed to be the day to talk about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, the new hack and slash companion game to Tears of the Kingdom. However, the embargo Nintendo sent along was so restrictive, disallowing the discussion of “any story details” that The Verge has decided to hold our review until launch day November 6th. And we’re not the only ones.
Patent and Trademark Office director John A. Squires has ordered the 12,403,397 patent — often oversimplified to “summoning characters and making them fight” — to be reexamined, citing two older Konami and Nintendo applications that raise “a substantial new question of patentability.” This isn’t one of the patents in Nintendo’s ongoing legal battle with Palworld-creator Pocketpair.

Open one of the the Rainy, Sunny, or Snowy Day themed playlists for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons soundtrack on the Nintendo Music app and you’ll now find a new “Play hourly tracks” button. Pressing it will automatically play the hourly track that correlates to your current time of day.
The company partnered with Laced Records for the release which is available for preorder as an 8LP boxed set featuring 130 tracks for $180, or a more affordable double-LP set with 34 tracks for $40. They’re expected to ship in June 2026 and will be one of Nintendo’s first major vinyl soundtrack releases outside Japan.

Nintendo shared a new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, the upcoming Zelda-themed Musou (destroy everything that moves) action game coming to the Switch 2 on November 6th. Ganondorf is up to some mischief again, and you (playing as princess Zelda, a Zonai tech-infused Link, and others) need to clean house.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to Switch 2 on December 2nd. “It will have all the recent updates and free content drops, except for the Claws of Awaji Expansion that will come later in the new year,” Ubisoft says.

As promised, Masahiro Sakurai spent an hour detailing just about everything you could think of related to Kirby Air Riders, including its gameplay, soundtrack, and some very big Amiibo figures. Also, there are lots of gummies for some reason. Watch the whole thing here — the game itself hits the Switch 2 on November 20th.

The original Luigi’s Mansion is coming to Switch 2 on October 30th as part of the GameCube lineup available via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. Now I’m humming the music like Luigi does.

If the previous 45-minute-long stream about Kirby Air Riders wasn’t enough, Nintendo is giving its famed director another hour to talk about the fast-paced racing game. You can tune in on October 23rd at 9AM ET.

Jsaux is one of the first companies to debut a compact charging dock so you can connect your Switch 2 to a TV while traveling without having to pack Nintendo’s bulky dock. The OmniCentro Charger Dock for Switch 2 is expected to ship in mid-November, but you can preorder it now discounted to $39.99.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A launch day has finally arrived, and if you haven’t checked out our review breaking down how surprisingly good the game is, there’s a new overview trailer out to get you hyped for the new Lumiose City.
But it doesn’t sound too worried about it. Last week the Crimson Collective group claimed to have accessed the company’s servers, but Nintendo told Japan’s Sankei Shimbun that no personal or business information appears to have leaked, with the breach seemingly limited to website servers.

Nintendo’s Pokémon Legends series continues to feel like the franchise’s future.
